So I've never been to the physical location but my friends had their pies at a party and ever since I can't stop ordering from First Slice. I'm obsessed with their sandwiches! They have the BEST combo. Sandwich salad chips & I always add a slice of pie too. My favorite pie is key lime I think but I've tried a hand full of theirs and they are all delicious. They have a really unique yummy balsamic pear pie. Their apple and cherry pies are phenomenal too. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu. Oh and my daughter loves their Mac and cheese. Thanks for feeding us! 3

I like the unpretentiousness of First Slice though some would be warranted based on the quality of the food and service. On my first visit, I ordered the Cuban sandwich, mocha, and a French silk small pie (to take home; it was eaten within days). I enjoyed it all. There's not a ton of seating space, but we all made do and shared it well knowing we had found a unique restaurant. The only knock is the front door didn't close all the way on a cold day.

Food has always been incredible. The Latin Hip Hop salad is a neighborhood favorite of mine, and every pie has been outstanding, with a special nod to the chocolate pecan, French silk, and chocolate peanut butter. As for the service - the staff went above and beyond for my Thanksgiving pie this year. A mix-up caused my pie to be ready at the Andersonville location, not Manor, the day before the holiday. After a night and morning spent at the emergency vet and with bronchitis myself, that extra distance felt insurmountable. The woman I spoke with on the phone (Jennifer? I regret that the stress of the day affected my memory) tracked down my order, then promised to bring it from Andersonville to the Manor for me, since she had to make a trip over there that afternoon. It had been such an awful day, and that little bit of kindness was much appreciated. (Plus the pie was phenomenal - warming up the chocolate pecan makes it even more dreamy.)

Love this place! The sandwiches are great, there's a good variety, and the price is pretty good too (usually 10 to 13 bucks). The location itself is a little bare but it's still nice to sit and listen to the train roll by. Staff is also very nice.

Stopped by on a whim and ordered a slice of the mango margarita cheesecake pie (pictured) and the broccoli cheddar quiche. Both were amazing! Great, helpful service and chill vibe as well.

The French silk pie is the bomb. Also the Cuban sandwich is so zesty and tasty!!! Loved them both. Sorry, I ate the Cuban before getting a good picture!

Delicious! Moved away from Chicago a little over 5 years ago and was back visiting for the weekend. So happy to see this delicious spot still open. This voracious carnivore had a vegetarian sandwich and a slice of pie as an appetizer (life is uncertain, eat dessert first) and it was all amazing.
